Lot 190: Bobbin Gingersnap 20 Inch Children's Bicycle
A vintage woodworking bench vice of cast iron and steel construction, designed for under-bench mounting. The mechanism comprises twin-guide rods and a central acme-threaded screw, operated by a steel T-bar handle with spherical end caps. The vice is currently fitted with two wooden jaw liners. Remnants of blue paint are visible on the cast components, a feature often associated with mid-20th century British manufacturers such as Record or Woden, although no maker’s marks are clearly discernible on the metal surfaces. A paper auction label for HCP Auctions South West is adhered to one of the wooden liners.
