Lot 258: A Pair of Large Blue Glazed Ceramic Planters with Floral Decoration
A pair of terracotta garden planters of flared circular form with rolled rims. Each planter features a distinct relief-moulded design to the exterior. One example is decorated with a raised basket-weave or lattice-work pattern. The second example is ornamented with organic scroll or foliate relief designs. Both pieces are crafted from traditional terracotta. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces. Small labels are present but are not legible. One planter is currently planted with garden growth.
