A child’s garden bench of traditional park bench form, featuring cast iron ends with decorative scrolled armrests. The structure supports wooden slats with a central decorative cast metal panel inset into the backrest. The panel depicts a safari or jungle scene in relief, featuring a lion, elephant, and giraffe amongst jungle foliage. Two white paper labels are affixed to the front seat slat with handwritten text reading Childs Garden Bench along with various alphanumeric characters. No maker’s marks are visible on the metalwork or timber.
