A group of four cylindrical stoneware storage jars of varying sizes together with a box of miscellaneous household sundries. The utilitarian jars are finished in a traditional two-tone salt glaze, featuring cream-coloured lower bodies and rich honey-brown glazed rims and interiors. This style is characteristic of British stoneware production from the late 19th to early 20th century, produced by potteries such as Pearson and Co of Chesterfield, though no maker’s marks or capacity stamps are visible on these examples. The accompanying cardboard box contains a teal-coloured glass vessel with a white interior, a clear pressed-glass lid with a radial starburst pattern, a clear ribbed glass shade or funnel, a light blue lidded container, and a small animal figurine. The interior flap of the box bears a handwritten pencil inscription reading BLUE JUGS (VALUABLE?).
