Lot 39: An Assortment of Engineering and Automotive Tools in Two Vintage Toolboxes
A collection of vintage engineering and automotive hand tools contained within two separate toolboxes. The first is a rectangular wooden chest with a hinged lid and hook latch, containing an assortment of engineering thread-cutting tools including various taps for internal threads and dies for external threads, alongside several high-speed steel (HSS) twist drill bits. The second is a red-painted metal cantilever-style toolbox with a wire carry handle. This box contains a variety of mechanical hand tools including chrome-plated sockets, extension bars, and a universal joint. One socket is marked VANADIUM GERMANY SE 1/2. Spanners in the collection include open-ended and combination types, with one combination spanner marked 13. Also included is a modern screwdriver with a yellow and black soft-grip handle marked rolson, and a quantity of hardware including zinc-plated coach bolts and a large circular metal disc.
