Lot 573: A Collection of Vintage British Automotive Manuals and Regional Walking Guides
A vintage Amstrad Model EX 303 Executive series solid-state hi-fi stereo tuner, manufactured in London, England by Amstrad Consumer Electronics Ltd. The unit features a brushed aluminium front faceplate set into a black textured vinyl-wrapped cabinet. The analog slide-rule tuning dial covers Long Wave (LW), Medium Wave (MW), and FM bands, and is accompanied by two needle meters for Signal strength and FM Tuning accuracy. Control features include a power toggle switch, a rotary output level control, a large weighted tuning knob, and a band selector dial. Two toggle switches are present for Mute and AFC (Automatic Frequency Control). The rear panel includes a built-in ferrite rod antenna for AM reception, RCA-style stereo outputs, and screw terminals for external FM and AM antennas. Technical specifications on the rear indicate a mains supply of 240V and 15W. The unit is accompanied by its original paper owners instruction book.
