Lot 634: Very Large Antique Tiffany Floral Leaded Slag Glass Hanging Lampshade
A large Tiffany leaded glass pendant lampshade of domed form. The shade is constructed from irregular polygonal panels of opalescent cream and beige slag glass. It features a decorative repeating frieze around the lower rim depicting clusters of burgundy-coloured grapes and green foliage, set between narrow burgundy glass borders. The panels are joined using traditional leading techniques with dark-patinated soldered seams. The interior is fitted with a patinated metal crossbar mounting bracket including a central hanging loop and a single light bulb socket. A paper label for HCF Auctions South West, Lot 635, is attached to the exterior.
