Lot 707: A Six-Piece Set of Cut Crystal Tableware, Glasses Manufactured By Royal Doulton
Two commemorative ceramic bell-shaped whisky decanters, produced for Bell’s Scotch Whisky. The first decanter celebrates the birth of Princess Beatrice on 8th August 1988. It features a white glazed ceramic body with a blue fluted neck, decorated with a putto figure within a laurel wreath and a blue ribbon inscribed Princess Beatrice. The second decanter commemorates the 60th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 21st April 1986. This item displays a central transfer-printed portrait of the Queen within an ornate gilded cartouche and features a fully gilded base. Both decanters bear a gold-coloured band on the neck with the name BELLS printed in black block letters. The design and materials are consistent with production by Wade Ceramics. Both decanters appear to remain sealed with their original contents.
