Lot 709: A Collection of Vintage Costume Jewellery Brooches and a Scarf Ring
An Edwardian sterling silver folding fruit knife featuring a single silver blade and a handle with iridescent mother of pearl scales. The blade face displays a vertical series of British hallmarks including the maker mark A dot H for Arthur Hadfield of Sheffield, the lion passant indicating sterling silver purity, the crown for the Sheffield assay office, and the lowercase date letter m for 1904. The handle is finished with a fluted silver bolster and a vacant rectangular silver cartouche inset into one scale. A nail nick is present on the blade for ease of opening. This item is currently marked with a temporary lot number sticker 13.
