Lot 737: Two Swarovski Crystal Floral Ornaments, Darigold Flower and Lotus Blossom
A Tremar Pottery stoneware lamp base of flattened rectangular bottle form with a tapered neck. The piece features a mottled grey-brown and olive-green glaze with a large incised stylized spiral or eye motif to the front face, executed in a contrasting unglazed reddish-brown clay. The lower section of the base is finished with a wide band of unglazed cream-toned stoneware. The lamp is fitted with a modern white plastic lamp holder and a white power cord terminated with a standard UK 3-pin plug. This item bears a handwritten paper label identifying it as early Tremar Pottery made at the St Keyne site in Cornwall. It also carries an HCP Auctions South West lot sticker numbered 738.
