Lot 756: A Mid-20th-Century Style Ribbed Glass Table Lamp
A large hand-blown art glass figurine of a standing clown, executed in the whimsical style characteristic of mid-20th-century Murano production. The figure is composed of multi-coloured glass elements, including a tall red top hat, yellow hair, and a wide ruffled green collar. The face is fashioned from white glass with black eyes and a red smile. The torso features internal red and white latticino-style stripes encased in clear glass. Blue circular decorative elements are placed at the shoulders, and the figure has white gloved hands, one of which holds a red and white striped ball. The piece stands on large, flat black glass feet. A contemporary auction identification sticker is attached to the base.
