Lot 775: A Twenty-five Piece Set of Broadstairs Studio Pottery Stoneware Tableware by Dianne Sanders
A collection of vintage Meccano metal construction sets and accessories, dating from the 1970s. The lot includes Meccano Set No. 3, which is housed in its original red-bordered box. This set features a white styrofoam tray and is stated to contain 200 parts. Included is the corresponding Meccano Book of Models 3, featuring multi-language text on the cover including Voorbeeldenboek, Livre des Modeles, Libro dei Modelli, Modellbuch, Modellbok, and Libro de Modelos. The box illustrates several builds including a shipyard crane, jet plane, and fire escape. Also present is Meccano Set No. 1 in its original black box, stated to contain 100 parts. This set includes original instruction leaflets for models such as a garden seat, coster’s barrow, and counter scales. Included in the collection is a Meccano Magic Clockwork Motor in its original blue and red box, which contains driving bands and a 1-inch pulley with boss. The construction components consist of painted steel strips and plates in yellow and blue, plastic wheels, brass gears and pulleys, and steel nuts and bolts. All items bear the standard Meccano block-letter logo. Lot tags marked 13 and 776 are attached to the packaging.
