Lot 780: A Collection of Vintage Costume Jewellery, Accessories, and Commemorative Coins featuring a Bulova Wristwatch
This lot comprises two traditional British forged steel billhooks designed for agricultural and forestry work. The first is a Brades pattern billhook, stamped on the blade with BRADES and MADE IN ENGLAND, identifying it as a product of William Hunt and Sons, Brades Steel Works. It features a curved steel blade with a straight back and is fitted with a weathered wooden handle and metal ferrule. The second item is a beaked billhook, characteristic of the Dunsford style, featuring a hooked blade and a small brush hook projection at the base. While a maker stamp is present on the blade near the handle, it is not clearly legible in the provided images. The handle of this second tool is currently wrapped in blue adhesive tape.
Blade Length: 10 inches (Brades example).
