Lot 832: An AEG Lavamat-Turbo Protex 8kg Freestanding Washer-Dryer
A set of Roman style re-enactment armour, identified as steel construction, associated with the Sealed Knot historical society. The set comprises several components designed to simulate an ancient warrior appearance. The helmet is a basin style with a short integral visor and hinged ear protectors featuring circular ventilation perforations, secured with a leather chin strap. The torso protection consists of a single curved breastplate with a dark brown weathered finish. The harness includes wide tan leather shoulder straps and a black cross-body strap featuring a cylindrical loop attachment. Accompanying the armour is a brown fur-lined shoulder mantle or tunic lining and a lower skirt of pteruges composed of overlapping fabric strips with a repeating black and gold patterned motif. The armour is finished with a distressed coating to simulate age and use. A white sticker on the breastplate is marked Lot 834 and a blue tag on the harness is marked 5766. No permanent maker marks or stamps are visible on the components.
