Lot 923: A late Victorian or Edwardian rectangular pressed glass serving tray
A pair of early 20th century Edwardian tub-style armchairs, constructed from a dark-stained hardwood. The design features a broad, continuous curved top rail and arms, supported by three central vertical splats with geometric pierced cut-outs in the Art Nouveau manner. The frames are raised on square tapered front legs and splayed rear legs. Each chair has a fixed padded seat upholstered in a cream-coloured tapestry fabric with bird and floral motifs, finished with a matching gimp trim. The lot includes one loose tapestry cushion depicting a Chinoiserie garden scene with figures. Small white adhesive lot labels are present on the arms, numbered 926 and 67.
