Lot 939: A Large Collection of Assorted Compact Discs Housed in Two Wooden Storage Racks
A set of four French farmhouse-style dining chairs constructed from dark-stained oak. Each chair features a shaped top rail over a central backsplat accented by a prominent carved concentric circular patera or boss. The chairs are fitted with traditional woven rush seats. The frames are supported by turned front legs and square-section rear legs, joined by a H-stretcher and additional side stretchers. The construction exhibits visible mortise and tenon joinery. This design is characteristic of French mid-century provincial furniture, specifically in the manner of Charles Dudouyt. Each chair bears a white auction lot label to the reverse, one notably marked with the number 942.
