Lot 131: A Trio of George V Sterling Silver Mounted Cut Glass Dressing Table Bottles, Birmingham, 1919
This collection comprises three early 20th-century silver-mounted cut glass dressing table or scent bottles. The assortment includes a square-section bottle featuring a classic hobnail and diamond-point cutting pattern, fitted with a domed sterling silver screw-on cap. The second is a taller rectangular-section bottle with panels of diamond cutting and radiating fan cuts to the shoulders, finished with a silver collar. The third is an ovoid-section bulbous bottle decorated with cross-hatched diamond panels and fan cutting, also featuring a silver collar. The glass is high-quality lead crystal with sharp hand-cut facets. The silver mounts bear English hallmarks for Birmingham, with the date letter u for 1919. The maker marks include L and S for Levi and Salaman and S and Co for Sydney and Co.
Heights range from 7.5 cm to 9 cm.
