Lot 160: A Collection of Vintage and Antique Jewellery, Decorative Objects and Curiosities
A collection of vintage and antique decorative objects, jewellery, and curiosity items of varying materials. The group includes three carved bovine bone or ivory-style spoons, comprising two miniature salt spoons and one larger spoon featuring a shell-shaped bowl with a decorative handle. Also featured is an oval millefiori glass mosaic brooch, bezel-set within a silver-coloured rope-twist frame, and a small butter-style knife with a polished green hardstone handle, possibly nephrite jade. The jewellery and personal adornments include a white-metal signet ring set with an unidentified dark stone, a filigree-style cloak or sweater clip, a small decorative seal or fob featuring a carnelian-type stone cap, a heart-shaped pendant with an attached chain, and an open heart charm.
The assembly also contains several utility and novelty items, including a miniature brass hammer, a metal-cased lead holder, a fan-shaped silver-coloured metal mount, and two metal storage containers of oval and circular form. The metal components are primarily base metals, brass, and silver-coloured alloys, with some pieces showing minor, illegible stamp marks.
