Lot 32: A Trio of Edwardian Sterling Silver Handled Manicure Tools by Levi and Salaman Birmingham
A set of three antique silver manicure implements comprising a nail file, a cuticle pusher or scraper, and a small pointed knife. Each tool is designed with an ergonomic bulbous sterling silver handle and fitted with a steel functional end. The handles are struck with British hallmarks including the maker mark L and S for Levi and Salaman, the lion passant indicating sterling silver fineness, and the anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office. One tool is further stamped STEEL ENGLISH MAKE on the metal shaft.
