Lot 46: An Assortment of Vintage Costume Jewellery Brooches and Pins
An assortment of vintage costume jewellery brooches and pins featuring diverse materials and motifs. The group includes a figural brooch representing a traditional Thai dancer in an active pose, decorated with polychrome enamel in white, red, orange, and green on a gold-tone metal base. There is a Latin cross brooch carved from a single piece of iridescent mother-of-pearl with bevelled edges. A square-format brooch features gold-tone openwork filigree set with four petal-shaped mother-of-pearl segments and a central clear rhinestone. Also present is a ceramic mask brooch of theatrical Venetian design, finished in white glaze with black painted accents and gold glitter. The collection further contains a geometric pin constructed from amber and burgundy slag glass panels in a leaded metal frame. A circular cluster brooch in silver-tone metal is set with turquoise-coloured petit point stones. A stylised leaf-motif brooch combines gold-tone metal with black enamel and a line of pavé-set clear rhinestones. Completing the assortment is a horizontal bar brooch in gold-tone metal with textured silver-tone glitter panels and a central black oval cabochon. Most pieces feature standard pin and clasp fasteners to the reverse. No maker’s marks are visible on the face of the items.
