Lot 59: An Assortment of Silver-Plated Flatware and Serving Items including Viners and S. Bowden and Sons
An assortment of silver-plated flatware and serving pieces of varied manufacture. The collection comprises a pierced sugar sifter spoon with an ornate floral-patterned handle and starburst bowl, two pairs of sugar tongs, a baby pusher, and a looped-handle baby spoon. Further items include table forks and spoons in Fiddle and Old English patterns, and a server handle with embossed architectural scenes and the inscription NURNBERG. Several pieces bear maker marks, including S. BOWDEN & SONS with the trade name UNITY and EPNS stamps, V & Co (Viners & Co) with electroplate marks on the baby pusher, and NEVADA SILVER B & A on the larger sugar tongs. A faint monogram is visible on the handle of one large spoon.
