Lot 90: Two Edwardian and Later Sterling Silver Mounted Condiment Vessels including Royal Crown Derby
A group of two sterling silver mounted condiment vessels. The first item is a Royal Crown Derby porcelain pot of rounded form, decorated in a traditional palette of hand-painted orange and cobalt blue floral motifs on a cream ground. The rim is fitted with a mounted sterling silver collar hallmarked with the maker mark B&Co, the anchor for Birmingham, the lion passant for sterling silver, and the date letter d for 1903. The base of the porcelain body bears a red transfer-printed Royal Crown Derby crown and monogram mark alongside the handwritten pattern number B 4218. The second item is a clear glass bowl featuring deep diamond-cut geometric decoration and a star-cut base. The glass is fitted with a sterling silver rim hallmarked T.S.D&Co, with the anchor for Birmingham, the lion passant, and the date letter W for 1921.
