Lot 142: A Vintage Galvanised Steel Dual-Handle Garden Watering Can
A traditional dual-handle garden watering can constructed from galvanised sheet steel. The body is of cylindrical form with a partially enclosed top featuring a hooded splash guard. It is equipped with a fixed, arched overhead carrying handle and a rear loop handle for controlled pouring. The straight spout is reinforced with a metal brace and terminates in a threaded tip, originally intended for a detachable sprinkler rose. The surface displays a characteristic spangled galvanised finish. There are no visible maker’s marks or embossed stamps. A modern paper retail sticker is adhered to the splash guard.
