Lot 18: A Collection of Assorted Garden Maintenance Tools
This assortment of garden implements comprises a variety of long and short-handled tools. Included are a traditional digging fork with four metal tines and a weathered wooden handle, a garden fork with blue-coated metal shafts and black textured grips, and a square-mouth shovel with a metal blade and wooden shaft terminating in a D-grip. The lot also features a garden hoe with a triangular metal head, a red plastic fan-shaped leaf rake with a wooden handle, and a heavy-duty outdoor broom with a wooden block head and stiff bristles. Additionally, there is a pair of long-handled edging shears with blue-coated shafts and a small three-tine hand fork with a wooden handle. One tool, a red plastic rake, retains a partially legible label with a capital S and text ending in RANCE. The construction and colour of the blue tools are consistent with late 20th-century UK manufacturing.
