Lot 305: A Collection of Wicker and Woven Storage Baskets and a Hamper
A collection of woven storage items of varying forms and finishes. The group includes a large rectangular wicker hamper of dark umber staining, constructed with a hinged lid and a solid wooden base featuring a central aperture. Also included is a rectangular basket woven from light-coloured material, featuring two prominent turned wooden rod handles at the rim. Completing the collection is a smaller, shallow rectangular woven tray with a dark greyish-brown finish. The items display a variety of weaving patterns, including traditional waling and randing techniques. Paper auction lot tags are attached to several pieces.
