Lot 471: Benson Single-Cutaway Electric Guitar in Blue Burst Finish
A Benson electric guitar featuring a single-cutaway body in the “Les Paul” style. The instrument has a blue burst finish complemented by cream-coloured binding and a matching cream pickguard. The neck is fitted with a dark wood fingerboard featuring pearloid block inlays. The headstock displays the brand name Benson in a gold-toned script. Electronics include two humbucker pickups with chrome-finished covers, a three-way selector switch marked Rhythm and Treble, and four black speed-style control knobs. The hardware is finished in chrome and includes a tune-o-matic style bridge and a stopbar tailpiece. A Liskeard Auction Rooms tag for Lot 471 is adhered to the body, alongside a piece of masking tape with the handwritten notation VT313 and the date 15/06/23.
