Lot 513: A Wade Porcelain Viking Vase in Original Box
A mid-20th-century porcelain model of a Viking longboat, produced by Wade of England. The decorative vessel is modelled as a drakkar with a dragon-headed prow and curved stern. The hull is finished in a high-gloss glaze of treacle brown and slate grey, accented with a row of six circular shields along the side. The piece is contained within its original two-part cardboard box. The lid is printed with the text VIKING VASE in Porcelain by WADE OF ENGLAND and includes a graphic illustration of a Viking ship. A lot number sticker 13 is adhered to the side of the teal-coloured box base.
