Lot 546: A Pair of Framed Mixed-Media Horological Collages Signed P. Amman
A pair of framed mixed-media collages depicting vintage vehicles, constructed from various repurposed watch and clock components. The first artwork illustrates a motorcycle, inscribed Manx Norton 1950 in gold-toned script. The wheels are composed of watch dials, including two marked Glashütte and QUARTZ. The second artwork illustrates a scooter, inscribed Lambretta LD150 1957. Both pieces are signed in gold-coloured cursive script P. Amman. The collages are set against black oval backgrounds within dark green mounts and housed in glazed gilt-effect frames. The engine and chassis of the vehicles are represented through the arrangement of mechanical gears, plates, and springs.
