Lot 563: Tiffany-Style Stained Leaded Slag Glass Hanging Lampshade
A Tiffany-style leaded stained glass lampshade of domed form. The shade is constructed from numerous panes of opalescent slag glass joined with lead cames. The design features a main body of geometric, rectangular cream-toned panes with irregular marbling. This is accented by a decorative lower border depicting a series of pink flowers with yellow centres interspersed with dark green and maroon foliate motifs. Additional small leaf-like accents are placed within the main cream-coloured section. The shade is topped with a patinated bronze-effect metal cap featuring an integrated hanging hook. A white auction house sticker for Liskeard Auction Rooms, Lot 563, is present on the metal cap. No maker’s signatures, factory marks, or embossed stamps are visible on the glass or metalwork.
