Lot 66: A mid-20th-century blue steel cantilever toolbox containing an assortment of workshop hand tools including Cyclo Gear bicycle accessories
An assortment of mid-20th-century hand tools housed within a blue-painted steel cantilever-opening toolbox. The collection includes a wide variety of open-ended and combination spanners, many of which bear the incised mark CHROME VANADIUM. The lot features two Stillson-style adjustable pipe wrenches with heavy patination and at least one large adjustable wrench. The pliers and cutters group includes multiple pairs of pliers, end nippers, and wire cutters, with some featuring red insulated handles. An array of screwdrivers is present, showcasing both traditional wooden handles and early plastic or acetate grips. A specific highlight is a vintage boxed bicycle tool by the Cyclo Gear Co.
