Lot 872: A Nest of Four 20th Century Chinese Style Carved Hardwood Graduated Side Tables
A set of four graduated side or occasional tables constructed from a light-to-medium toned hardwood in the traditional Chinese export style. Each rectangular top features a decorative border carved with a foliate and leaf motif surrounding a central wooden panel, all set beneath a protective glass insert. The tables are supported on four cabriole legs. The set is characteristic of mid-20th-century Far Eastern furniture manufactured for the export market. One table features a paper auction label marked Lot 872. No maker marks, stamps, or labels are present on the set.
