Lot 890: A Singer Model 27K or 28K Hand-Crank Sewing Machine with Case
A Singer hand-crank sewing machine, identified by the accompanying accessory box as a model 27K or 28K. The machine features a black-enamelled cast-iron body decorated with ornate gold-toned scrollwork decals and the Singer name in gold lettering. It is mounted on a wooden base and housed within a matching bentwood dome-top carrying case, which also bears the Singer name. The lot includes two vintage printed booklets and a maroon accessory box labelled The Singer Manufacturing Company Accessories for 27 K & 28 K Machines. A metal key is attached to the wooden handle of the case with twine. A spool of thread marked CHAIN COTTON remains on the machine.
