Lot 935: An Upholstered Rectangular Footstool with Turned Hardwood Legs and H-Stretcher
A traditional rectangular upholstered footstool or dressing table stool. The padded seat is covered in a green and cream floral damask-style fabric, featuring vertical bands of stripes and foliate motifs in shades of tan and orange. The stool is raised on four dark-stained hardwood legs of turned form, transitioning into square blocks where they are joined by a central H-stretcher. The frame is of traditional construction with turned legs and square-section stretchers. The joinery appears to be standard mortise and tenon at the leg blocks.
