Lot 978: G. Harvey and Rson: An Assortment of Artworks including a Still Life and a Rural Landscape
An assortment of wall art comprising two framed oil paintings and a triptych of contemporary decorative panels. The first work is an oil on board depicting a traditional British rural landscape with white-washed cottages beside a country lane, executed in a mid-20th-century realist style. It bears a signature to the bottom right corner with the terminal letters Rson discernible. The painting is housed in a dark wood frame with a gilt inner slip. The second work is a still life study of lemons on a branch against a dark umber ground, appearing to be oil on board or canvas. It features a vertical signature to the upper right edge reading G. Harvey and is presented in an ornate moulded gilt frame. Completing the lot is a triptych of contemporary decorative canvases featuring minimalist botanical motifs in olive and white on neutral grounds. An auction lot tag numbered 978 is attached to the still life.
