Lot 2: Sankyo Movimat Triple-Lens 8mm Cine Camera with Pistol Grip
A Sankyo Movimat 8mm cine camera, designed for standard 8mm (double 8) film. The camera features a die-cast metal body with a textured grey hammer-tone finish and a distinctive triple-lens turret system. The turret houses three lenses with the following markings: a primary Sankyo Pronon 1:1.8 f=13mm lens, a wide-angle f=6.5mm lens, and a telephoto f=25mm lens. The camera includes a built-in selenium light meter with a honeycomb cell window located on the front and a top-mounted exposure scale marked with 18 and AUTO. The side panel contains a film footage counter with markings ranging from SET 0 to 25 and indicators for START, OPE, and FINISH. A detachable pistol-grip handle with a trigger release is fitted to the base, and the camera is equipped with a black braided wrist strap. Visible markings include labels for Sankyo-movimat and Sankyo on the body and handle, and the word JAPAN on the rear of the grip. A serial number plate is present between the body and handle preceded by NO., although the digits are not clearly legible.
