Lot 67: An Assortment of Vintage Costume Jewellery Brooches and Pins
This lot comprises a diverse group of vintage costume jewellery brooches and pins in various styles and motifs. The collection includes a large enamel floral spray featuring purple and white flowers with green leaves set in gold-tone metal and accented with clear rhinestones; an ornate Maltese cross brooch in darkened silver-tone metal, pavé-set with red and amber-coloured rhinestones; and a circular tiered gold-tone brooch with a central turquoise-coloured cabochon surrounded by rings of small faux pearls and turquoise-coloured beads. Also included is a silver-tone brooch featuring large, faceted yellow glass stones of varying shapes with suspended decorative chains; a delicate marcasite scroll brooch in silver-tone metal; an oval silver-tone brooch with a filigree border centered by a large faceted clear paste stone; and a cream enamel paisley-shaped brooch with raised gold-tone accents. The assortment is completed by a textured gold-tone double-leaf brooch, a small multi-coloured rhinestone wreath pin, and a silver-tone bar pin featuring a relief-cast winged cherub. The pieces are constructed from base metals with gold-tone and silver-tone finishes, employing various pin mechanisms such as revolving safety clasps and C-clasps. No maker’s marks were observed.
Dimensions: Sizes range from approximately 20mm to 70mm in length.
