Lot 85: A Pair of Chi Kang Stoneware Floral Transfer Printed Footed Egg Cups
A pair of stoneware footed egg cups, each featuring a tapered body on a flared pedestal base. The exterior of each cup is decorated with a floral transfer print depicting a central large pink peony-style blossom surrounded by smaller yellow, blue, and purple flowers with green foliage. The base of each cup bears a blue underglaze stamp; one mark appears to read Chi Klang Stoneware while the other reads Chi Kang Stoneware, with both including the text Made in China. These items are mass-produced stoneware of Chinese origin, likely dating from the late 20th century.
