Lot 165: An Assortment of Traditional and Modern Garden Hand Tools
An assortment of various long-handled garden implements and associated components. The collection includes a digging spade with a rusted steel blade and a wooden T-handle, and a second spade with a yellow synthetic-coated handle and D-grip. Also included is a four-tine garden fork with a wooden handle and a half-moon edging iron featuring an orange-painted head. The lot also contains several loose tool handles and heads, including a small green-painted spade head, and a handle assembly for a motorised garden tool. Construction consists of forged and pressed steel heads with handles made from turned wood and modern synthetic materials. No maker’s marks or patent dates are clearly visible on the tools.
