Lot 174: A Pair of Neoclassical Style Reconstituted Stone Garden Urns
A pair of large garden urns on pedestal bases, constructed from reconstituted cast stone. These urns are designed in the traditional Campana form, featuring a wide rounded bowl decorated with a moulded foliate garland and swag motif around the mid-section. Each urn is flanked by two substantial scroll-form handles with acanthus leaf and shell-like detailing at the points of attachment. The urns are supported by integrated pedestal bases, each with a fluted stem and a square plinth base displaying decorative shell and acanthus leaf moulding at the corners. One urn contains a visible drainage hole to the interior base. No maker marks were identified.
