Lot 211: A Pair of Weathered Cast Concrete Sack-Form Garden Planters
A pair of garden planters manufactured from cast reconstituted stone. The planters are designed to simulate gathered fabric sacks, featuring deeply moulded folds, vertical ribbing to the lower body, and a broad, ruffled rim. The neck of each planter is encircled by an integral rope-effect tie finished with a simple knot. Centrally positioned drainage holes are present in the base of each vessel. The pieces exhibit a heavy textured finish characteristic of cast concrete garden ornaments. No maker’s marks or signatures are present on the surfaces shown.
