This vintage industrial metal cabin trunk features a utilitarian design, likely dating from the early to mid-20th century. The piece is constructed from ribbed sheet steel for structural reinforcement and is assembled with heavy-duty rivets visible across the lid and body. The exterior presents a dark, weathered finish, while the interior is finished in a contrasting deep oxblood red paint. A black oval mark is located on the inside of the lid, which bears the inscription MADE IN ENGLAND. The trunk is equipped with internal hinges and a recessed black metal catch plate or handle inside the lid.
