Lot 308: A Collection of Vinyl LP Records featuring Easy Listening and Stage and Screen Soundtracks
A collection of 12-inch vinyl LP records primarily focused on mid-20th-century easy listening, organ music, and musical theatre soundtracks. The assortment includes several titles from the UK budget label Music For Pleasure (mfp). Visible titles include Reginald Dixon – The Tower Organ (mfp 1220), including tracks such as Tiger Rag and Autumn Leaves; Camarata and The Mike Sammes Singers – Finian’s Rainbow (mfp 1233); and Oklahoma performed by the Revue Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Jimmy Warren. The records are housed in standard cardboard jackets, one of which bears a handwritten annotation for Doctor Zhivago and a previous auction lot sticker from McTear’s Auctions South West for Lot 308. The collection appears to consist of UK pressings dating from the 1960s and 1970s.
