Lot 400: Modern Hand-Knotted Wool Pile Rug with Tribal Motifs
A contemporary hand-knotted wool pile rug featuring a tribal-inspired design. The composition consists of an asymmetrical geometric field divided into cream and salmon-pink sections by a serrated border. The design is further detailed with scattered small diamond and cruciform motifs in shades of grey and ochre. A prominent wide, dark grey vertical band is positioned towards one end, featuring small, colourful geometric elements along its edges. The rug is constructed with a wool pile on a cotton foundation and is finished with a cream-coloured knotted cotton fringe at both ends.
