Lot 417: A Collection of Johnson Brothers Eternal Beau Pattern Earthenware Tableware
A large collection of glazed earthenware dinner and tea service items from the Eternal Beau range by Johnson Brothers. The pieces feature a distinctive octagonal shape and are decorated with transfer-printed motifs of intertwined pink ribbons and bows with small pink flowers and green foliage on a white ground. The rims are highlighted with a single green line. The service comprises several forms including a teapot with lid, a lidded sugar bowl, a milk jug, teacups, saucers, dinner plates, side plates, cereal or soup bowls, and lidded vegetable tureens. The underside of the pieces bears a black transfer-printed backstamp within a wreath, stating: JOHNSON BROTHERS, MADE IN ENGLAND, DISHWASHER AND MICROWAVE SAFE, with the pattern name Eternal Beau in script and A SARINA MASCHERONI DESIGN.
