Lot 530: Antique Blue Willow Pattern Ceramic Butter-Dish in Octagonal Wooden Mount
Antique transfer-printed earthenware butter-dish featuring the classic Willow pattern in underglaze cobalt blue. The decoration depicts a traditional landscape with pagodas, a bridge with figures, and willow trees enclosed by a geometric border. The circular dish is inset into an octagonal wooden mount with a stained finish. The reverse of the wooden base features a central circular aperture and shows white adhesive residue. No factory marks or backstamps are visible on the underside of the ceramic dish.
