Lot 576: A Trio of Items Comprising a Pair of Silver Plated Goblets and a Cast Iron Little Giant Industrial Sign
This lot features three items including a pair of silver-plated metal goblets and a cast iron industrial directional sign. The pair of goblets are designed with conical bowls supported by stems featuring cast foliate or vine-wrapped textured bands. This specific decorative style is strongly associated with 20th-century silverplate production from Spain, typically by manufacturers such as Valero or J. Perez Ruiz. The goblets are constructed from a copper-alloy base metal with a silver-plated finish. The third item is a heavy cast iron directional arrow or nameplate. It features vertically cast block lettering in relief reading LITTLE GIANT. The arrow is designed for mounting, with two circular apertures located at the base and within the arrowhead. The Little Giant brand is historically linked to industrial manufacturing, particularly for items such as screw plates and pumps.
