A collection comprising two multi-volume sets of music scores published by Könemann Music Budapest. These sets represent the complete editions for piano solo by Johannes Brahms and Joseph Haydn, produced as scholarly Urtext publications intended to reflect the composers original intentions without later editorial intervention. The Haydn set is presented in a pale green illustrated card slipcase containing softcover volumes titled Sonaten I, Sonaten II, Sonaten III, and Klavierstücke · Piano Pieces · Morceaux pour piano. The Brahms set is housed in an orange illustrated card slipcase and includes the complete works for piano solo. Both sets feature the publisher’s stylised M logo on the covers and spines. The Brahms slipcase bears an adhesive label with the handwritten number 1080 and a contemporary auction lot sticker from HCP Auctions South West for Lot 585. The volumes are in a large quarto/folio format.
