Lot 607: A Collection of Miniature Glass and Ceramic Figurines
A collection of assorted glass and ceramic decorative miniature figurines and animalier subjects. The glass components include blown and lampworked pieces, notably a stylised elephant with internal multi-coloured canes and aventurine-style swirls, a dolphin on a circular blue-tinted mirrored base, and a tortoise with a polished banded stone shell. The glass bird selection features two hens in pinkish-white glass with red combs, a dark glass bird with gold aventurine inclusions, a rooster with a black feathered tail, and a bird with green-tipped wings. A clear glass figure of an angel is also present. The ceramic and porcelain figures include a painted fox hunter in a red coat riding a white horse, a donkey with decorated panniers, a cat resting on a floral-patterned cushion, and a miniature pot with applied pink roses and green leaves. The donkey bears a circular gold and white label marked Made in Italy.
