Lot 611: A Collection of Price Brothers Cottage Ware and Beehive Novelty Tablewares
A collection of novelty glazed earthenware tablewares, featuring cottage-themed items and a beehive honey pot. The cottage ware is designed in the traditional English thatched-cottage style with moulded relief details, including brickwork, leaded windows, and climbing foliage, finished with hand-painted underglaze colours. The assortment contains a teapot with a chimney finial, a smaller teapot of similar form, a twin-handled lidded sugar bowl, a cream jug, and a small lidded preserve jar. Also included is a beehive-shaped honey pot with a lid featuring a bee-form finial, applied bee decorations, and a ceramic spoon. These pieces are characteristic of the Ye Olde Cottage range produced by Price Brothers, England.
