Lot 825: Victorian Upholstered Mahogany Nursing Chair
A Victorian-era upholstered easy chair, typically used as a nursing or bedroom chair, dating from the late 19th century. The chair features a low-seated, deep-sprung design with a wide, curved backrest and low, padded armrests. It is currently upholstered in a gold-toned velvet fabric, detailed with braided cord trim along the structural seams. The piece is supported by turned mahogany legs. A white rectangular tag with the printed numbers 825 is adhered to the lower left-hand side of the chair back.
